£100 million heritage and arts 'Catalyst' programme announced - 6 October 2011

DCMS, Arts Council England (ACE) and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) have announced further details of the £100 million Catalyst scheme to boost private giving to culture.

The scheme is designed to enable arts and heritage organisations to diversify the way they generate income, increase their fundraising potential and develop new ways to secure private giving.

It includes a £55 million endowment scheme jointly funded by DCMS, ACE and HLF. The heritage stream is now open to applications. For more information, see the governmentfunding scheme page.

Applications for arts awards are set to open on 1 November 2011. These schemes will also be published on the governmentfunding site.
