Funding news

Heritage Lottery Fund has extra cash for next year - 1 December 2010

Heritage Lottery Fund has extra £45m to allocate for 2010/11.

The Heritage Lottery Fund has an extra £45m to distribute next year, the funder has revealed today.

The boost, which will bring the March 2011/12 funding year total to £250m, comes as a result of the re-adjustment of lottery funding for heritage and also on the back of continued strong sales of the National Lottery.

Four programmes are now assured of additional funding with the Landscape Partnerships programme, receiving the biggest boost. The small grants conservation programme Your Heritage has also received a significant increase on its 2010/11 budget.

Dame Jenny Abramsky, chair of the HLF, welcomed the ‘‘heartening news’’, while Minister for heritage John Penrose said “Organisations who will need support from the Heritage Lottery Fund will quickly feel the benefit’’.
