DCSF funds Youth Taskforce to tackle anti-social behaviour - Thursday 22 November 2007

58 local areas will receive funding of £12.9m over the next 3 years in the Department for Children, Schools and Families’ (DCSF) effort to challenge anti-social behaviour and to support young people.

In addition 77 local areas will receive £11.7m over the next 3 years to fund parenting practitioners to provide support to families involved in or at risk of anti-social behaviour.

The funding is intended to intervene early through supporting parents, preventing young people from getting into trouble and helping them to fulfil their potential.
