NCVO keen to ensure even lesser-known charities benefit from unclaimed assets – January 2007

The NCVO is calling for an independent consultation to determine which charities should benefit from the distribution of unclaimed assets.

In a statement listing a set of principles the organisation wants to be adopted by government, it says that in order for the funds to have maximum impact a full discussion needs to take place with a range of stakeholders, including voluntary and community organisations. This will help ensure a broad range of causes benefit, not just the most well-known.
