Talks will tackle Compact breach - Wednesday 18 October 2006

Voluntary sector representatives will meet civil servants at the Department of Health on Friday to discuss ways of avoiding a repeat of this year's breach of the Compact, which left £17.85m of charity funding in jeopardy.

The talks, which were instigated by members of the Government, will pave the way for a more formal meeting with care services minister Ivan Lewis on 16 November.
