Victory for sector on additionality - June 2006

The Government has committed to amending the lottery bill, to ensure lottery money remains separate from core spending. The amendment will mean that distributors must report on how their funding is free from political interference, and distinct from Gover

The voluntary and community sector has welcomed this commitment from the Government. Stuart Etherington, chief executive of NCVO, said: ‘This is an important victory for the voluntary and community sector. It should guarantee that lottery funding continues to be available for much needed and valued projects run by community groups and voluntary groups throughout the UK.’
