Schemes:

London Borough of Hillingdon Council is dedicated to help local organisation and communities acheive their objectives.

Corporate Grant scheme

The Council administer a main grants scheme and a discretionary small grants scheme. For more information contact the Community Engagement Team on 01895 558158.

One main grant bidding round is run per year. The process starts in September with an application round and the final decisions are made at December Cabinet by members. Funding awarded begins in the new financial year.

Please Note: this is a competitive funding programme and many organisations are funded on a rolling basis.

For more information click here.

The council also provides a list of other funds available to local organisations, which is available here.

Art Grant scheme

We offer a year round arts grants programme, with funding available for local voluntary or professional arts groups and individuals who wish to run art based projects in Hillingdon. The programme was created to further the London Borough of Hillingdon's commitment to developing the arts. Grants will exclusively be awarded to projects which will benefit the local community.

Please note that deadlines are on:

  • the last working day of July
  • the last working day of November

It is strongly recommended to read the Art Grants further information before completing any application form.

To obtain any further information, please vist the council's website, or contact the Project and Events Team by phone (01895) 558199 or e-mail artsgrants@hillingdon.gov.uk

Many local authorities are now moving away from grant-making and beginning to use commissioning as a way to distribute funding to the third sector. Local commissioners can be difficult to find and identify, however NAVCA have created a guide that may help: 'Finding your commissioner'

The council website is not as accessible as some, however there is a search engine for external funding available in the area.

The council has a simple yearly grants programme (although this is often allocated to previously funded organisations).

There are also named contacts in the community Resources Team.

What is the DSC Funder Rating?

We need your help

Our ratings are by no means a final verdict, just a starting point to begin discussions about the voluntary sector’s experience of government funders. We are inviting all subscribers to share their experiences and contribute to the DSC Funder Rating. If you can help, please email us at ratings@governmentfunding.org.uk
