Community Chest Grants

Grants of up to £1,000 are available to voluntary and community groups within Middlesbrough.

Applicants must demonstrate that the project will:

  • benefit the people of Middlesbrough
  • encourage community activity and stimulates participation and involvement
  • compliment the services and priorities of Middlesbrough Council.

For grants of over £500 the applicant must clearly demonstrate strategic significance and links to the priorities detailed within the Middlesbrough Community Strategy.

Educational Bursaries

Middlesbrough Council administer a number of educational trust funds. The maximum award is £250 per financial year per individual

Requirements: In most instances applicants must be under the age of 25, live in Middlesbrough and have endorsement from an educational establishment or tutor.

Brookfield & Kader Youth Fund

The Brookfield and Kader Youth Fund has been established to enhance activities available for children and young people. Grants can be applied for up to a maximum of £2,500 but proposals for a larger amount may be considered based upon its future impact.
