Core Funding Grants

Applications for 2015/2016 are now closed. Please check back here in October for further details.

The Culture and Sports Grant Programme

A new fund is available from the Cultural Partnership for local groups to develop activities to take place in January 2016, as part of 'Get Fit for Culture.'

Detailed criteria for appication is available here.

The deadline for applicatons is the 14th September 2015.

Small Community Grants

Small community grants are offered to support grassroots work and fund start-up costs, small projects and events that encourage activity at neighbourhood level.

Capital Grants

These are available for VCS groups who wish to improve land and buildings with the Council.

  • Up to £1,000 - to cover all costs of a capital project; no matched funding required
  • £1,000 to £5,000 - to go towards costs of a capital project; matched funding required
  • £5,000 to £10,000 - to go towards costs of a capital project; matched funding required, including at least 10% cash match of the total projec

The staff in the Voluntary Sector Unit were also very helpful and happy to take any enquiries relating to their funding programmes.
