Schemes:

The Northamptonshire County Council operates different grant schemes. These are:


Empowering Councillors and Communities Scheme

This scheme grants £7000 per year to each of Northamptonshire County Council 57 councillors to spend within their electoral. Grants are awarded to projects that benefit the local communities.

Applicants for funding through your County Councillor must be an organisation with its own bank account and a not for dividend organisation or business.

East Northants Resource Management Facility Fund (Kings Cliffe)

The East Northants Resource Management Facility (ENRMF) Fund is available to organisations within a 10 mile radius of the ENRMF landfill site at Kings Cliffe, with preference being given to applications from organisations within a 5 mile radius of the site.

The fund has been made available as part of the planning consent which granted Augean permission to deposit low level waste at the ENRMF landfill site. The funding is aimed at supporting community projects and organisations.

The Northamptonshire Community Foundation

The NCF provides financial support to the local charity and community sector in the region. The total amount of funding awarded per year equals £750,000. The NCF offers financial support to community-based action which improves the lives of Northamptonshire's most disadvantaged people and communities such as child poverty, unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence and social isolation.

Applicants can apply for:

  • Small grants up to £3000
  • Larger grants up to £5000

Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire

This organisation help local communities to achieve their projects in order to improve the quality of life in the area.

  • Deliver a wide range of services, including specialist support, advice and training, to over 2000 voluntary and community organisations and charities each year
  • Promote and support volunteering in the county
  • Help voluntary and community organisations and individuals contribute to Northamptonshire's development and services
