Schemes:

The council has a grant aid scheme for individuals and youth organisations that is administered on their behalf by Bromley Council for Voluntary Service (Bromley CVYS). It has a limited budget of around £70,000 per year and is only available for youth organisations working in the London Borough of Bromley and who are also members of Bromley CVYS.

Grants are available for:

  • use of Council premises
  • voluntary groups
  • individuals attending training and other events
  • enhancing educational provision
  • young athletes.

Further details on this fund can be found through the following link: grant aid for youth organisations

Please contact BCVYS for application forms and eligibility criteria.

Crystal Palace Park Community Projects Fund

This grant scheme will continue for the next three years. The Council will award grants bewteen £100 and £20,000 to community groups to deliver specific projects and activities in the park.

More guidance and information about elegibility criteria are available here.

Many local authorities are now moving away from grant-making and beginning to use commissioning as a way to distribute funding to the third sector. Local commissioners can be difficult to find and identify, however NAVCA have created a guide that may help: 'Finding your Commissioner'

This website was fairly easy to navigate, although there is no specific voluntary sector page, so details of the funding available was found under a different path:

What is the DSC Funder Rating?

We need your help

Our ratings are by no means a final verdict, just a starting point to begin discussions about the voluntary sector’s experience of government funders. We are inviting all subscribers to share their experiences and contribute to the DSC Funder Rating. If you can help, please email us at ratings@governmentfunding.org.uk.
