June 2015 - At the moment, the Nottingham City Council is not operating any grant scheme. However, more information about external funding opportunities is available through contacting the "Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service" by e-mail at groupsupport@nottinghamcvs.co.uk or by phone 0115 934 8400.

Many local authorities are now moving away from grant-making and beginning to use commissioning as a way to distribute funding to the third sector. Information on voluntary sector funding from Nottingham City Council is very clearly explained and advertised on the council website. Information is comprehensive and kept up to date.

Useful additional information is also provided, including details of external sources of funding, previously funded organisations and help and suggestions on how to apply for a grant.

The grant programmes also seem to be well thought out with lots of scope and simple application procedures.

What is the DSC Funder Rating?

We need your help

Our ratings are by no means a final verdict, just a starting point to begin discussions about the voluntary sector’s experience of government funders. We are inviting all subscribers to share their experiences and contribute to the DSC Funder Rating. If you can help, please email us at ratings@governmentfunding.org.uk.
